Luc and Galahad have been out four more times and have racked up 16 hours and 13 minutes for the month of July. This gives these two in the neighborhood of 339 Hours and 13 Minutes traveling 558.25 Miles since July of 2006.
As promised in our last update here are the latest prairie photos. In the past dozen days we have changed our colors from spring greens to fall golds. This first picture is looking across our hay field and into the east wheat field, it’s still a few weeks away from harvest but it is getting there.
Here are a couple more updated photos taken on the final July drive with Luc and Galahad, where we saw cows and calves, deer, a coyote and a cow elk. We listened to a Hoot Owl and Killdeer birds in Day Canyon. It was a quiet early morning six mile drive in warm 70 degree temperatures under a clear blue sky with bright sunshine, just perfect!
