Jim and I decided to celebrate the conclusion of Haying Season with a fun afternoon drive in the mountains. Our original plan was to drive the Elk City Wagon Road from Lightening Creek to Wall Creek and then on to Elk City. We soon discovered The Elk City Wagon Road has become almost impassable with a full size pickup. We bounced over rocks, through washed out crevasses and after several hours of crawling we decided to head towards the Selway River on a much nicer road. That was a by far a better plan and took us through several groves of these huge Cedar Trees. This particular grove was like a groomed park just take a look at the size of these trees!
