So many times I read, ” Gosh I wish I could go driving with you,” today you have your chance. Step up into the cart and let’s go on a short Teamdonk drive, Okay?
On the North side of Day Canyon the cattle were running and it really caught the boys attention. It didn’t take long for us to meet the first cattle truck loaded with saddle horses and riders ready to go round ‘em up. Heck we already had them at the corrals and waiting. Today is weaning day so it’s time to separate and haul the calves off to another pasture. The second truck came up from behind us rattling and shaking to its very core and leaving us in a giant dust cloud as they barely gave us any room on the road. Dang, that was close! We were on our way back and the boys were not happy about being passed like that. As we were unharnessing the cattle trucks rolled past the farm so looks like it went nice and smooth. Good thing we drove those cattle to the corrals from across the canyon for these hard working cowboys and girls!
I did a lot of playing with the camera today especially in video mode. I thought I had it on and recording several different times just to get back and find no video and video where I was trying to take stills. It’s all a learning process! Now if you like todays little session I’ll just keep it up so you can ride along as often as you want.
As we were coming up the steep side of Day Canyon a small herd of deer started to cross in front of us. This was harder than the cattle trucks I believe! The boys were really looking for those deer for a good half mile.
Here we are at the turn around point 3 miles from home. We were out driving 2 hours and 30 minutes and it’s Teamdonk #2’s turn in the morning.
